Many Milwaukee area residents are hunkering down this season. Home sales are down in the Milwaukee area, but many homeowners still want to spruce up their space.
At the Spring Home Improvement Show, local remodeling professionals are offering some inspiration.
The exhibition is hosted by Milwaukee’s chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. Contractors from the Milwaukee area will show off remodel ideas. The event runs from Friday through Sunday at State Fair Park in the Exposition Center, 8200 W. Greenfield Ave., West Allis.
Here are five projects featured at the show:
An EV-charging garage
Contractors are building a pop-up garage inside the Exhibition Center. The display is built for comfort, with epoxy flooring, cabinetry and appliances. Electric vehicle owners can also learn how to charge their cars with diesel. A car charger will be mounted inside.
Custom kitchens, a countertop you can set on fire
At the Nonn’s booth, you can find high-tech kitchen amenities, including a smart refrigerator and — yes — a kitchen countertop that can be set on fire to demonstrate its durability.
Bliffert Lumber and Hardware is building a custom kitchen display. Bartlet. The Remodeling Resource will be showing off a sleek new kitchen remodel, featuring Iron Ore cabinets and a white oak island.
Backyard inspiration includes fire tables
It might be hard to imagine in February, but once the snow melts, many homeowners will be more focused on the outdoors.
Local NARI members have plenty of ideas for outdoor improvement projects. For those looking to warm up, Castin Crete Designs has a display of fire tables. More ambitious homeowners can find the Excel Custom Contractors deck display, featuring an outdoor bar.
Saunas among the displays
If you’re needing to heat up, you can browse the sauna offerings from Good Health Saunas. Winter-weary homeowners can sweat it out in one of their Chromatherapy saunas.
Spacious showers and a Green Bay Packers bathtub
NARI members have many ideas for bathroom remodels. Carmel Builders will be showcasing a master bath remodel project, with a vanity, plenty of storage and a spacious shower.
Miracle Method Surface Refinishing is showing off their repurposed antique, clawfoot tubs. Diehard fans can relax after game days in a Packers-inspired tub.
